SPOTLIGHT ON …. HAPPY DAYS NURSERY
The mighty children, staff and parents of Happy Days Nursery in Maryhill are out in force again next week.
As part of preparations for an Eco School award, the terrific team is taking to the streets to clear up litter and highlight problems with broken glass and dog mess.
“This is a problem daily for our children on their way to and from nursery and on daily outings to our woodland area,” explains the nursery’s team leader Jacqueline Hancock.

“We have cleaned up before, and it has a big impact – so we are going to do it all again next Wednesday. So far, we have had great support from our parents, and the aftercare group Safe til Six, alongside Community Safety Glasgow, Princes Trust, Queen’s Cross Housing, staff at the Community Central Hall and Keep Scotland Beautiful.”
The team will be out clearing up on Murano Street, Braid Street, Cromwell Street, Dalmally Street and Tillie Street on Wednesday, February 13, from 9.30am until 11am.
