Marc said: “Most weeks in the club or around Shawlands we meet people that met their partners or spouses at a Shed night out, some go on to have “Shed babies” we love it when people tell us their own stories.

"Although the Valentine's Day weddings are just a bit of fun and not legally binding we’re putting in a lot of effort, we have had a stage constructed and designed our own wedding certificates, its going to be a lot of fun.”

A makeshift wedding chapel will come complete with seating for guests, and a platform for the ceremony to be conducted from.

Newlyweds will be supplied with a ring, a veil and at the conclusion of the ceremony, after the I do’s, a certificate of marriage and a photoshoot with the club photographer.

While the venue is not known for weddings, it was originally The Marlborough a function hall that saw multiple wedding receptions and functions in its day.
