GLASGOW Hugh Jackman fans have been thrown a lifeline as the star announces a THIRD gig date in the city.

It comes minutes after fans were left fuming after tickets to his SSE Hydro gigs reportedly sold out just minutes after general release this morning at 9am.

As reported by the Evening Times this week, the Greatest Showman star added new dates to his first ever world tour due to high demand, including two in Glasgow on May 7 and 8.

Now it's been confirmed he'll also be performing at the Hydro on May 9.

The Hollywood star will perform songs from The Greatest Showman during the tour – entitled The Man. The Music. The Show. – as well as tunes from Les Miserable and other Broadway classics.

Jackman, who portrayed American showman PT Barnum in the box office smash, will bring his tour, which is backed by a live orchestra.
