A PREDATOR who took hold of a girl in the street and told her “you are coming with me” and accosted a string of other women has been jailed for 16 months.

Braulio Dacruz, 30, pulled a 21-year-old girl’s earphone out before he took hold of her arm and demanded she put his number in her phone.

He said “you’re not doing what I tell you, girl” and, when she said she was going home, he told her: “You are not, you're staying with me”.

Creepy Dacruz gestured towards a car and said “you are coming with me” - but the girl managed to escape when he took a phone call.

She reported the incident and, after a press release was issued, more women and eyewitnesses came forward to report seeing similar behaviour.

Dacruz pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to a charge of abduction and assault on August 14, last year, at St George’s Road and Woodlands Road in Glasgow.

He also admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at an number of streets in Glasgow City Centre and approaching females, making comments about their appearance and making sexualised comments, on the same day.

Today, sheriff Norman Ritchie QC said: “I think your behaviour was motivated sexually”

Dacrus was put on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years.

The sheriff added: “As is recognised on your behalf, it has to be a custodial sentence.”
