Police Scotland is appealing for information and witnesses following a violent robbery in Glasgow last night.

Around 9:50pm, a 36-year-old man was at the bottom of the stairs that lead to Hill Street from Renfrew Street when he was approached by two men who assaulted and robbed him.

The man did not require medical attention at the time.

The two suspects, are white, aged between 17 and 19 years old. One was wearing dark coloured clothing and the other was wearing light coloured clothing.

One of the men was carrying a small bottle of vodka with a red cap.

Witnesses are urged to come forward if they have information regarding the attack.

Detective Sergeant Euan Keil said:

“We are carrying out extensive enquiries into this robbery and are appealing to the public for any information that will help us trace the men responsible. Perhaps you saw the two young men hanging around in Hill Street prior to the incident or you may have seen them making off.  I would urge anyone with any information to contact us.
