SCOTLANDS national heart charity has urged MSPs to back the forthcoming bill to switch the country to an opt-out system of organ donation.
On 26 February MSPs @ScotParl will vote on the Human Tissue (Authorisation) (Scotland) Bill. It seeks to introduce an opt-out system which allows people to be explicit about their wishes, and helps families be clearer about what their loved one would want. #BackTheBill pic.twitter.com/rm04fzTbcn

Politicians are due to vote when the bill goes before parliament later this month.
It follows a six-year campaign by the Evening Times calling for the change, which is expected to help increase the number of organs available for transplant.
Under an opt-out system, individuals are required to indicate if they do not wish to donate organs after death in their lifetime.
