CONCERN is growing for a 24-year-old man after his "out of character" disappearance.

Ruaraidh Murchison was last seen around 9am yesterday in the Lochfield area of Paisley.

He is described as 5ft10 with dark hair and brown eyes.

He is believed to be wearing dark outdoor clothing, has a black and red rucksack and may have a grey mountain bike.

Sergeant David Edington, Paisley Police Station, said: “Ruaraidh's family are growing concerned for his wellbeing and his disappearance is out of character.

"We are appealing for anyone with any information regarding his whereabouts to get in touch. Do you remember seeing him?

"We would also appeal for Ruaraidh himself to get in contact with us to let us know you are okay."

Anyone with any information should contact Paisley Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 2811.
