Glasgow Life bosses claim the pool will be exempt from closure but other, such as Alexandra Parade Golf Course, remain under threat.

Organisers asked supporters to come dressed in goggles, golf gear and gym clothes.

They said: "There is no commitment for investment and no security for the venues in the long term. "We need to ensure these venues have a future."
