EPILEPSY Scotland is warming up ahead of its third annual Patter Merchants Comedy Clash.

Taking place on Friday, March 8 at the Grand Central Hotel, the night will be hosted by funnyman Des Clarke.

The funniest night in fundraising will see Des joined by Jamie Dalgleish, Christopher Macarthur-Boyd, Megan Shandley and “Big” Gary Little.

Des said: “It’s an honour once again to be part of Epilepsy Scotland’s Patter Merchants 2019.

"This is the night where anything goes, all in the name of comedy and charity.

"I have the pleasure of hosting some of Scotland’s top comedy talent onto the stage on March 8.

"Our aim is to have the audience in stitches and help raise lots of money for an amazing cause. I can’t wait."

There will be a drinks reception thanks to the Merchant City Brewing Company and the Grand Central Hotel, as well as a delicious three-course meal.

Also, there will be some raffle prizes up for grabs including a two-day hire of a Harley Davidson, a private booth at Rotunda comedy club, vouchers for the Royal Yacht Britannia and a special edition of Monopoly where the luxury hotels of Scotland are up for sale.

Last year, more than £17,500 was raised for Epilepsy Scotland.

Robyn Friel, Head of Fundraising & Communications at Epilepsy Scotland, said: “The Patter Merchants Comedy Clash is always a fantastic night and we are delighted that Des Clarke will join us as our host this year.

"We are hoping to beat the total raised last year and have some great raffle prizes up for grabs.

"The night is the perfect opportunity to entertain clients, socialise with colleagues or just enjoy with friends.

"We have a hilarious line-up once again and are looking forward to a great night of comedy and fundraising."

Tickets are priced at £60 per ticket or £595 for a table of 10 but hurry as there are only a few tickets left.
