POLICE in Glasgow are looking to find the owner of a collection of old photos which were found in a department store.

The discovery was made in John Lewis in October 2018.

Officers have said they believe the photos will have “significant sentimental value” to the owner.

The photos date back to the 1940s and 1950s.

The largest of the photos is of a wedding party, with “The Knightsbridge Photographic Bureau 245, Knightsbridge, S.W.7” on the back. It also has the handwritten words “Effie’s wedding (Mother’s sister who died in London bombing 1941.”

Some names of those in the photo include “Uncle Harry” and “Aunt Annie.”

There are also four smaller photos which have “Millport 1952” written on the back, and shows groups of children called Moira, Grace, Helen, Rosemary, Janice and John.
