Rail services in Glasgow faced disruption this afternoon after a member of the public was hit by a train.
The incident, which happened near to Anniesland station in the west of the city, saw a man struck by the train before being rushed to hospital by ambulance staff.
The condition of the person affected in currently unknown.
Emergency services reportedly arrived at the scene at around 2pm and remained there until around 3pm.
In an online statement, ScotRail said: "Sadly we've learned that someone has been hit by a train in the Anniesland area.

"Disruption is expected until 4pm. We thank you for your understanding while the emergency services deal with this incident.
"Many of our trains and crew are now out of position.

"Consequently, services are subject to delay, revision or cancellation. We’re doing everything we can to limit further disruption."
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call today to attend an incident at Jordanhill Train Station.
"We dispatched our trauma team, a Paramedic Response Unit, an ambulance and a manager to the scene.
"We transported one patient to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.”
