It was back in 2003 that Christina Aguilera sparked ticket mania for her tour of the UK – taking in Scotland – thanks to the popularity of her Stripped album.

The announcement of the American singer’s Stripped tour saw her perform 27 shows in Europe, including a gig at the SECC in Glasgow on October 28.

She opened the show with Dirrty, the single that marked the end of her squeaky clean Disney star image and the beginning of her reign as pop princess.

The night's setlist included some of her most iconic songs including The Voice Within, Can’t Hold Us Down, Lady Marmalade and Fighter.

Aguilera, now 38, went on tour around the US last year, supporting her latest album, Liberation, playing over 20 concerts and marking her first tour in a decade since she took her Back to Basics gig out on the road in 2006.

With almost two decades worth of music, her setlist included fan favourites Genie in a Bottle, Ain’t No Other Man and Accelerate.

The Grammy-winning songstress is currently gearing up for her first UK tour in more than a decade.

The X Tour will be stopping off in Glasgow this November, straight off the back of Xtina's Las Vegas residency.
