A MAN has been charged in connection with the alleged attempted murder of River City star Tam Dean Burn.
The 42-year-old is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today after the 60-year-old actor was allegedly stabbed in the capital's Crichtons Close area after speaking at a Scottish Poetry Library event on Saturday.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "A man has been charged following the attempted murder of a 60-year-old man in the Crichtons Close area of Edinburgh on Saturday, March 2.
"The 42-year-old is scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, March 4."
The television star is recovering at home after receiving hospital treatment.
