Several trains have been cancelled in and out of Glasgow Central as British Transport Police deal with a trespassing incident near Cardonald.

At 5:15pm on Saturday evening ScotRail confirmed that some services running between Glasgow Central Station and Paisley Gilmour Street, Gourock and Wemyss Bay have been affected. British Transport Police are currently en route to the scene, with the aim of catching the person in question.

ScotRail posted a tweet saying: "We're dealing with a tresspasser on the railway between Cardonald and Hillington East @BTPWestScot officers are on their way to apprehend the person. Trains are running at caution (a slower speed) through the area just now."
