A woman has been charged with firearm offences following a raid of an address in Airdrie.

Officers acting under warrant searched the address on Gartness Drive on February 28.

Gary More was shot and killed outside of his home on the same street last year.

Lindsay Hunter was arrested for two firearms offences and two drugs charges.

The 34-year-old appeared at Airdrie Sheriff Court where she entered no plea and was granted bail pending further examination.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland, said: "Around 5.20pm on February 28, officers acting under warrant searched a property on Gartness Drive where firearms were found.

"A 34-year-old woman was arrested and charged and was due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on March 1."

Gary More was shot and killed outside of his home on Gartness Drive, in September, last year.

The 32-year-old dad was shot several times in the head, neck and chest outside his home.

Police confirmed that a 43-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the death and alleged threatening behaviour, and a 35-year-old man was arrested in connection with alleged threats.

Both men made no plea.
