A stabbing in the East End of Glasgow is being attempted murder, according to local police.
Detectives in Shettleston are appealing for information after two thugs attacked a man with large knives in Sword Street on Thursday.
The incident, which took place at around 1.25am, happened near to Brandon Street.
The 24-year-old victim was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary having sustained serious stab wounds to his back and leg.

He is presently detained in the hospital and medical staff describe his condition as being serious but stable.
Detective Constable Eilidh Marshall, said: "I'm appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the assault to get in touch.
"If you have any information about the identity of the two men responsible I would urge you to contact me at Shettleston Police Office."
