A former car garage in Govanhill could soon be turned into flats for social rent.
The former Arnold Clark Garage on Allison Street has been earmarked by developers as the location for 49 new flats.
The building, adjacent to the proposed South West Way, would consist of one, two and three bedroom flats for affordable rent by Southside Housing Association.

Developers have said they want to 'repair the fragmented city block' and introduce a 'strong sense of public and private space within the development'.
The flats would be car-free with no allocated parking spaces offered to tenants.
Glasgow City Council will look at the plans before deciding whether they can go ahead.
As previously reported by the Evening Times, a new social housing project by Govanhill Housing Association, was unveiled on Wednesday.

The build was 18-months in the making and is made up of 42 new homes on Butterbiggins Road.
