A TEENAGE boy who found dead in an Ayr street has been named locally as Callum Dawson.

The 18-year-old was found in Whittle Road at 7.25pm on Sunday.

Friends and loved ones have been sharing their thoughts after learning of the death of the former Prestwick Academy and West College Scotland student.

Schoolmate Rebekah Park wrote: "Callum was one of the best people anyone could have in life, every time someone was sad he’d make a joke or say something to have you laughing again. If only we knew how you were feeling.

"I will never forget the memories we have together, and the times we spent together.

"You will be sadly missed and never ever forgotten. RIP Dawson."
