Two teenagers have been arrested and charged in relation to an alleged attack on a disabled man in Glasgow. 

Police have confirmed that two men, aged 17 and 18, had been apprehended by officers and were due to appear in court in Glasgow on Monday. 

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Both men have been arrested and charged and due before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, March 18, 2019.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."

The Evening Times reported earlier how a 54 year-old man, who is known to suffer from anxiety and has a learning disability, was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary from his home in Germiston in the north of the city in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Shocking pictures shared on social media by the Paul’s friend show multiple slash marks across his face and neck.

One photo shows a large gash across the right side of his face which has been stitched, and his left eye is purple and swollen shut.

Medical staff have said his condition is stable but a friend who visited him in hospital said that he cannot see.
