The mother of a newborn baby discovered in the toilets of a hospital in Oxford has been found.
Police had appealed for help in tracing the mother after the baby boy was found by staff at the John Radcliffe Hospital on Monday afternoon.
Concerns had been raised over the mother’s health, and she had been urged to seek medical attention.
In the early hours of Tuesday, Thames Valley Police said the woman had been located safe and well and was being provided with medical treatment.
Her baby, who is thought to have been born at about 6pm, is being cared for by medics at the hospital and is doing well, police added.
