It’s been eight years, but Toy Story will finally back on our screens this summer.

The first official teaser trailer for Toy Story 4 includes all our old favourites, such as Woody, Buzz and Jessie, as well as some new faces.

“Forky” the spork, who has been given a face with crayons and arms with pipe-cleaners, freaks out and screams “I don’t belong here!” causing chaos.

Forky is played by comedian Tony Hale. Other new additions to the cast include comedian Jordan Peele who will play a character called “Bunny” and Matrix actor Keanu Reeves.

The official synopsis for the film has also been released: “Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that's Andy or Bonnie.

"But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called Forky to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy."

The film, directed by Josh Cooley, who worked as a screenwriter and storyboard supervisor on Pixar's Inside Out, is scheduled to be released June 21 2019.
