Tributes have been paid to a teen mum found dead at a flat in Glasgow.

The body of Courtney Leonard, was discovered by police at an address on Ardencraig Road, Castlemilk, on Monday.

The 19-year-old had welcomed her daughter, Bonnie, in August last year.

Friends and locals have taken to social media to pay tribute to the teenager following her shock death.

Castlemilk Community News posted: "RIP Castlemilk legend Courtney Leonard.

"Another young life taken from this world far too soon

"So sad to see.

"Thoughts with her friends- family and particularly her 1 year old daughter Bonnie."

Nicole Frame wrote: "Heartbroken doesn’t even come close & no amount of words can begin to describe how much of a beautiful person you were, you were truly one in a million Courtney Leonard fly high beautiful girl, keep the party going for me arriving."

Friend Sheelan Khorshid said: "Still doesn’t feel real yet. Will miss our silly duets and she will definitely be missed by us all."

Brogan Mearns, posted: "Hearts breaking u wer everything to me, U were there no matter where u were no matter who u where with no matter what u where doing u were there.

"Konlin will always be told that u where a great auntie to him and now a part of us is missing ur always in our hearts."

Friends have planned a balloon release in Glasgow Green in the teenager's memory.

An invite to the event requests that attendees should bring a bottle of vodka to celebrate Courtney's life - as it was her favourite drink.

It adds: "Courtney's friends are devastated, god only takes the best. See you on the other side angel."

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "The body of a 19-year-old woman was found in a property on Ardencraig Road, Castlemilk, at 3.45am on Monday, March 18.

"A post mortem will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death, however police are not treating the death as suspicious.

"A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
