PRIMARY pupils were informed a man's body had been discovered on the grounds of their school.

A special assembly was held for the upper school at Our Lady of the Rosary Primary this morning after the discovery was made at 12.30pm yesterday.

Psychologists were also drafted in to provide additional support to children or staff.

The school, near Tarfside Gardens in Cardonald, remains open as police continue their investigation.

A spokeswoman for Glasgow City Council confirmed the pupils had not seen any of the police activity yesterday but it was procedure to offer support.

A police cordon remains in place and youngsters will be kept inside during break times until it is lifted.
