THE Civic Offices in Colwyn Bay are set to undergo redevelopment.
Conwy County Borough Council (CCBC) staff moved off the site at the end of last year. relocating to the new Coed Pella building in the centre of Colwyn Bay.
With employees now off-site, the redevelopment process has entered its next phase and options for the Civic Offices are being considered.
A CCBC spokesman said: “Redeveloping the Civic Office site is phase two of the office accommodation project. So, once the new offices in Colwyn Bay were completed, work started on progressing redevelopment options for the Civic Offices.
“Conwy County Borough Council and Muse have been exploring options for the listed building at the Civic site.
“The council is now in discussion with possible occupiers who could breathe new life into the building and help stimulate the local economy.
“Muse are also working-up proposals for a residential development on the car park area of the Civic Offices site.
“It’s important to note that any new developments would be subject to a planning application at the appropriate time.”
