Members of the public are reporting a major police presence in Glasgow South Side as rumours of a search circulate online.
Reports of the incident began appearing online just before 7pm.
According to some local residents on social media, poluice had informed them that they were searching for a young woman in the area.

Some members of the public have suggested that officres are "combing" the area looking for a young woman, around 18 years of age.
One man posted on social media: "They've bought police dogs now too. At least a dozen or so police. Several cars and a van I saw."
Officers have also reportedly been stationed in Kenmure St in Pollokshields.
Police have been spotted at Crossmyloof and Pollokshields East train stations, as well as at the park and around the South Side.

Police Scotland could not be contacted for comment.
