POLICE are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of an elderly woman who has gone missing from Paisley.

Gwyneth Lillie, 70, was last seen at around 3.45pm on Wednesday in Love Street, near to Albion Street.

She is described as 5ft 9in, with brown/greying hair and brown eyes.

When she was last seen she was wearing a cream waterproof jacket, blue jeans and possibly carrying a holdall.

Sergeant Lorna McLaren, of Paisley Police Office, said: “Gwyneth has now been missing for over 24 hours and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare, as are her family.

"I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Gwyneth or if anyone has information regarding her whereabouts to contact us.

"I also ask Gwyneth to get in contact with us to let us know that she is safe and well."
