A body has been found in the search for a teenage boy who was reported missing more than four months ago.

Liam Smith, 16, was last seen boarding a bus headed for Banchory in Aberdeenshire on November 17.

On Friday afternoon a body was discovered around Craig of Affrusk and his family have been now informed.

Liam's disappearance sparked a major search of the Crathes area, which including specialist dog units and diving teams.

But, despite police receiving more than 200 reports of sightings of Liam, no trace was made of the teenager.
