A CAR and two horses have been involved in a crash this morning, causing major delays for those heading into Glasgow.
The Evening Times already reported this morning how the A77 northbound has been closed as traffic queues in the area.

It has now emerged the serious crash involved a car and two horses involved between B7038 Glasgow Road (Meiklewood Interchange, East Ayrshire) and M77 J8 (Fenwick South, Fenwick).
The condition of those involved is not known.

Traffic is slow on the B7038 through Fenwick as traffic diverts. There are also delays on routes through Waterside and Kilmaurs.
The road operating company is in attendance to clear debris. The road has been closed since around 6.30am to allow emergency services to assist, affecting traffic heading towards Glasgow.
The follwoing diversion has been put into place: via the B7038 Glasgow Road through Fenwick and join the M77 at J7 (Fenwick North).
