One of Scotland's most famous names in tennis paid a visit to Maryhill Park this weekend.
Judy Murray visited the empty courts in north Glasgow where volunteers had weeded the ground and set up a net.
Judy tweeted: "When you find 5 derelict courts in a park in north Glasgow and some local enthusiasts have weeded and rolled one of them and put a net up."

Volunteers and those who previously used the courts took to Twitter to thank Judy for recognising the potential of the venue.

Allan Gow tweeted: "Played on them many times, often having to queue to do so. Frequently dreamed of being the first Scot to win Wimbledon!
"Shame how they’ve been abandoned. Well done the friends of Maryhill Park. Thanks for highlighting Judy. Where are British tennis funds going?"
In response to Allan Judy agreed it was sad to see the courts in such disrepair.
"So sad to see them in disrepair. What a fab venue that could be for families. 2 derelict bowling greens too. Wonderful space," she tweeted.

In response to another tweet hoping the courts can be used for grassroots tennis Judy said: "Me too. Watch this space."
Could Maryhill Park soon be getting the Murray treatment?
