ALL emergency services have been called to a road crash on the M8.

The incident has taken place westbound at junctions 23 and 24.

Only lane four of four had been blocked earlier when the incident was flagged up on Twitter by Traffic Scotland just before 8.30am.

However, the team has since confirmed lane three has also been closed off as police, the fire service and ambulance dashed to the scene.

Police Scotland confirmed it was notified about the accident at 8.25am and said two cars were involved.

The force said no injuries have been reported and that work is being carried out to move the cars.

The force also added that the fire service was not needed.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We received a call at 8.32am to attend a road traffic collision on the M8 westbound at junction 23/24.

"One ambulance was dispatched and, after our crews carried out their checks at the scene, no patients travelled to hospital."
