BRITISH Gas customers using a remote heating access system have hit out after it went down.
The popular Hive platform went offline around 9.45am this morning, leaving users unable to access the system when out of the house.
Hive is designed to allow customers the ability to turn their heating on or off or adjust it while out of the office.

But, users have described the issue as a "major outage".
Engineers are working to resolve the issue but have ensured customers will still be able to operate their heating system manually while at home.
It's not yet known when the online system will return.

In a tweet, British Gas said: "We are currently aware of an issue with the Hive platform that is affecting remote access for some of our customers.
"We are working on this as a matter of priority - please check our status page for updates here: https://bddy.me/2YJStJp."
"We do apologise for the inconvenience."
