Following the huge hit Hollywood films, Mamma Mia! and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, Skimmings said the ABBA music has had a resurgence.

“Obviously you’ve got people that loved it back in the 70s or 80s when it was out, but now you’ve got the new generation, which is all these young kids they all know the songs as well.

“It’s a real family show,” Skimmings said.

One song featured in the performance is expected to be highly popular with the Glasgow crowd, Super Trouper.

“It’s a massive song for Glasgow because it mentions the city in the song. They don’t mention any other cities in any other songs so it’s a pretty big thing,” Skimmings said.

The famous lyrics, “When I called you last night from Glasgow”, have long been a source of pride for Glaswegians.

The two part show will include music from both Hollywood films, as well as ABBA’s Gold album.

“It’s just a dancing queen extravaganza, expect lots of glitter, a big massive singalong, we’re a big audience participation kind of show.
