POLICE dashed to Govanhill in the early hours of this morning after reports a local had seen people running with swords - but nothing was found.
The incident was said to have taken place on Annandale Street just after midnight.
Police rushed to the area and, after carrying out a search, said they found nothing.
According to The Scottish Sun, one local said: “Police at the door 1am this morning and, when I say police, I mean 4/5 vans in the street, riot shields out and everything.

“Asked to come in to check who was in the house, done the same with all the neighbours.
“Seemingly looking for people running around with swords.”
A Police Scotland spokeswoman tols us: “At around 12.30am on Thursday, April 4, police were called to reports of a disturbance on Annandale Street in Glasgow.
“Officers attended and a search of the area was carried out with no trace.”
