It comes as a bid to increase pressure on the Scottish Government to approve MSP Mark Ruskell's Restricted Roads (20mph) (Scotland) Bill.

Cllr Young said: "The case for 20mph speed limits in all residential areas is clear - this will save lives, clean up polluted air, and encourage more people to travel by bike and on foot.

The Scottish Government is yet to decide if the bill will be passed into law and it's not known which roads would be included.
