A man is being treated for a severe facial injury after being attacked at a pub owned by a former Rangers player.

The 48-year-old is reported to have been 'bitten on the nose' during the disturbance in the NN10 pub on Paisley Road.

Police taped off the pub, which is owned by Rangers legend Nacho Novo, along with the neighbouring Fake It salon, after the brawl around 5.15pm on Saturday.

The victim was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where his condition is described as stable.

Eyewitnesses reported that the man had been 'bitten on the nose' during the incident but these reports have yet to be confirmed.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Police were called to a disturbance at NN10 bar around 5.15pm.

"A 48-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is currently being treated for a severe facial injury.

"Hospital staff describe his condition as stable.

"Investigations are continuing, however, police are following a positive line of inquiry."
