THE M8's Charing Cross Tunnel is to close overnight for electric roadworks.
Scotland TranServ, on behalf of Transport Scotland will be carrying out essential electrical repairs on the M8 Eastbound at Charing Cross tunnel from tomorrow.
A total overnight closure of the eastbound carriageway will be put in place.

The map, pictured below, shows the exact point which will be shut between junction 18 and 19 from 10pm to 6am tonight until Sunday, April 14.
Signed local diversions will be in place throughout these essential works.

However, motorists have been warned there may be some disruption.
Drivers are advised to allow additional time for their journeys, and to check live updates on trafficscotland.org or to follow @trafficscotland on Twitter.
