POLICE are on the hunt for a thug who stole pensioner's handbag in broad daylight.
The 80-year-old woman was walking along Dixon Road in Govanhill around 11.15am on Monday when her bag was stolen.

Police confirmed the woman was not injured in the incident.

It's understood officers are following a positive line of enquiry.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Enquiries are continuing after a handbag was stolen from a woman as she walked along Dixon Road about 11.15am on Monday."

The area's councillor Soryia Siqqiue confirmed she had already approached police regarding the incident, which has sparked anger in the community.
