Scottish make-up star Jamie Genevieve is the latest person to be served the legendary Tennent's Golden Can award.

The Clackmannanshire-born influencer is one of the country's biggest success stories having built herself a business empire and worldwide social media presence.

Coming from Glasgow's make-up counters to creating her own brand of products and online content, Jamie has become a true Scottish trailblazer.

Particularly in the last year, her career has exploded, with her own fly-on-the-wall documentary about her life on the new BBC Scotland, at just the age of 25-years-old.

Tennent's have served up the Golden Can to the most deserving Scottish icons including Irvine Welsh, Martin Compston, Biffy Clyro and Karen Gillan.

Jamie, and her fiancé Jack McCann, were invited to the Tennent’s Wellpark Brewery Visitor Centre to collect her Golden Can.

While there, Jamie was pictured with the ‘At the heart of T in The Park’ neon sign, which is where they first met.

On receiving the award, Jamie Genevieve said: “I can’t believe it - I’ve been a long time Tennent’s drinker and out of all the awards I’ve been nominated for this definitely feels the most fitting.

“It’s so cool to join the ranks of the Golden Can Hall of Fame. My dad will be so proud!”

Alan McGarrie, Head of UK Brand Marketing at Tennent’s, said: “The Golden Can is all about identifying heroes in all aspects of Scottish culture, and as one of the most exciting new talents out there, Jamie has taken the world by storm.
