A ROAD crash on the M8 is adding to existing congestion to the area.

Police had closed the Kingston Bridge amid a police incident from 3pm to 4pm.

The incident is believed to have been resolved. However, Traffic Scotland has now said lanes one and two on the busy route eastbound at junction 22 Plantation are being affected after a crash amid the earlier chaos.

The lanes were opened again by 4.15.pm. However. Traffic Scotland said tailbacks were all the way back to Hillington.
