THE world’s largest commercial passenger aircraft has set off from Dubai as it heads for Glasgow.
The giant A380 plane is beginning regular services between Glasgow and Dubai from today.

Glasgow Airport has spent more than £8 million upgrading its infrastructure to welcome the double decker super-jumbo jet, including the introduction of Scotland’s only triple airbridge.

Tight restrictions have been placed around Glasgow Airport as the aircraft comes in to land at 19:45. Large crowds are expected to be waiting at the airport’s dedicated viewing area to welcome it.
