A spokesman for Extinction Rebellion has walked out of a live TV interview with Sky News during All Out Politics.
Robin Boardman appeared as a guest on the show to discuss the recent string of protests that the group have carried out across the UK.
Boardman said: "I care so deeply about all the people, all the people of this world, and I will not see it die.

However, Sky anchor, Adam Boulton accused the group of failing to get their message across in a week when Parliament wasn't even sitting. He said: "Half-term week when Parliament isn't even here, you come here and cause disruption in Westminster. You're not even getting your message across."
He added: "You're just a load of incompetent, middle class, self-indulgent people who want to tell us how to live our lives. That's what you are isn't it"
Boardman responded saying that millions of people will die if the current climate change continues and that many in the UK are at risk if the warm weather reported last year returns. He said: "People are not going to be able to put food on their plates, and I won't stand for that. And I won't stand for people who won't stand up for what it means to live on this planet, and I won't stand for anything else."

Following this statement, he stood up, terminating the interview.
Boulton's stance was criticised by many viewers with one writing on Twitter: "The young man went on to talk about the danger to our planet and it’s inhabitants & wildlife and instead was verbally insulted and treated with contempt. You would sit and take that...I certainly wouldn’t, he did the right thing."

Another said: I’m angry as they’ve now created a lot of new opposition to an important good cause.
Some praised Boulton with one social media user stating: "Childish reaction from the kid....he needs to have a better statement when challenged that "
It is not the first time that Sky has been accused of being derogatory to an interviewee.
This week, a Sky anchor appeared to suggest that the issues with rent down south were due to young people being unable to change a lightbulb and contribute to the property.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
