TRIBUTES have been paid to a Glasgow teenager after his sudden death.

Declan Mcnicol, from Maryhill, is understood to have died on Thursday.

A balloon release was held on Monday to commemorate the Celtic fan's life as pals praised his the beloved young man.

His partner, who is expecting the pair's first child in October, said: "I can’t stop thinking this is all just a dream and I’m going to wake up and tell you about it and you would laugh and tell me is that another one of my fried dreams.

"My heart has been broken into pieces and [I] can’t believe I’m writing this.

"You made me the happiest girl ever and I felt so safe in your arms, without you I am nothing.

"You were the bestest boyfriend I could have dreamed for and always laughing at me telling me how funny I am and always singing."

She added: "No one could ever make me laugh and smile or love the way you ever did.

"There was no one ever like you and I love you with every bit of my heart and I will never stop.

"GBNF my beautiful gorgeous angel."

Her post has been shared more than 1,000 times and garnered more than 600 comments.

While's Declan's sister also paid tribute to the teen, who is believed to be 19.

She said: "Struggling to find any words right now.

"Declan you were my baby bro and my bestest friend in this whole world we shared everything together from being babies to adults and you were always there to wipe my tears.

"I am so so grateful that I was blessed to have you as a brother as you were the funniest, most kind hearted boy I know and you lit up any room you entered.

"Things don’t even feel real atm, I just keep expecting you to walk in through the door with your daft smile and ask us all why were crying.

"I will forever cherish all of our memories good and bad and will tell your baby all about you and how excited you were to become a daddy and all the crazy funny endless stories I have about you.

A fundraising page has been set up to help the family cover funeral costs.
