DOZENS of Glasgow eateries have madethe shortlist for a top award.

Creative Oceanic has launched the 2019 Restaurant Awards –Scottish Edition.

The black-tie ceremony will take place on Monday, April 29, at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel where top restaurants from across Scotland will gather to find out who will take home the crown.

During the ceremony, the list with the top 100 restaurants will be revealed as voted for by the public and will receive a certificate of excellence.

However, only 20 of them will get the trophies home.

A spokeswoman for The 2019 Restaurant Awards-Scottish Edition said: “These awards aim to reflect the food experience as well as service excellence, ambience, quality and variety of choices that the restaurants in Scotland have to offer.

“All finalists should feel proud of themselves as it is their diners who put them forward to get the recognition they deserve. These finalists represent the gold standard of therestaurants that operate in the country, whose lively atmosphere and fantastic skill can crown them winners.

“We would like to wish all the finalists the best of luck and we are looking forward to welcoming all our guests at the ceremony and celebrating the winners with them.”
