POLICE swooped on a quiet street after reports of a disturbance.
A man was taken to hospital after the incident on Brankholm Brae in Hamilton around 10am this morning.

A large police presence remained on the scene, with multiple police cars and patrols in the area.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Around 10am on Friday 19th April police were called to reports of a disturbance at Brankholm Brae in Hamilton.

"Emergency services attended and one man has been taken to hospital.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
The man's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
