GLASGOW was squeezing every last drop of fun out of the early sunshine bathing the city.

At Glasgow Green volleyball courts had been set up for friends to play outdoor sports.

Dogs chased frisbees, a ukelele was being played and hundreds of people were lounging in the sunshine.

It was a perfect Good Friday as temperatures rose to 23 degrees and the sun was splitting the trees.

Kingston Goodfellow, 40, was on Glasgow Green with Stuart Brydson, 37, and expected more friends to join them as the day wore on.

Kingston said: "We went to B&Q earlier at Parkhead and I overheard a woman complaining that they had run out of sun loungers.

"Everyone is getting out and enjoying the good weather - and why not?

"It's a lovely day."

Megan Rankin, from Bellshill, and her friend Larissa Bethany were also making the most of the good weather.

They and two friends - plus four-legged friend Bonny the dog - were spending the day outdoors.

Megan, 20, said: "Glasgow's much better in the sunshine.

"We're having the best day of our lives."

It's good news for the rest of the Easter weekend with sunshine and warm temperatures set to last through Easter Sunday and into Easter Monday.
