GLASGOW is set for another warm day as the nation heads back to work following the long Easter weekend holiday.
The mercury looks set to hit highs of around 21C. It comes after Scotland enjoyed its warmest Easter Monday on record after the temperature hit a scorching 24.2C at Kinlochewe in the Highlands.
Good morning UK! Mostly dry, sunny and warm for many. The chance of showers across the far west and SW first thing and again later in the day, possibly thundery. It'll be cloudier, cooler and breezy along some North Sea coastal areas. Local forecasts: https://t.co/cQSfu1VDbo

Today, Glasgow will see dry with hazy sunshine, though a good deal of high cloud around, especially in the morning, with some showers in west and over the isles.
It will still be very warm, but feeling cooler through the Central Belt with quite brisk easterly winds and a maximum temperature of 21C.

This evening will see plenty of sunshine, followed by clear spells overnight, but cloud will gradually spread from the east with some low cloud, but clear spells persisting over Argyll and Ayrshire. A minimum temperature of 7C is to be expected tonight.
Met Office forecaster Marco Petagna explained: “We have got high pressure moving at the moment giving most of the UK a lot of fine weather, this combined with the fact that the high pressure has dominated for the past few days is allowing the temperatures to heat and build.”
