A MAN has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of Francis McCann after the last Old Firm game.

Kyle Beard, 24, was charged at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Saturday for the offence at the city's Merchant City.

His charges include two attempted murders with assault to severe injuries, one of which to the danger of life.

Beard did not make a plea to his charges.

He was remanded in custody by Sheriff Ian Fleming pending further investigation and his next court date is in the next eight days.

Jack Docherty, 27, Gemma Martin, 24, William Barclay, 27, Kahl Cullen, 23, James Quinn, 21 and Andrew Quinn, 25, also appeared last week for their parts in the alleged brawl.
