Cyclist nightmare

Coming out of our local shop I was nearly knocked down by a cyclist riding on the pavement.

On angrily telling him that it was a pavement and to use the road he approached me in a threatening manner and when I did not back down he pushed his face so close to mine that the lip of his helmet touched my forehead.

I then called him a coward since he would not supply his name. He was in his 30s and I am now 80-years-old. Identification of cyclists must be introduced.

Loch Lomond plans

Hopefully part of the money will be spent upgrading the road network around this end of the loch as a minimum!

The volume of traffic is already an issue at peak times in summer.

Really, who would want to go there on holiday? It must be the most expensive wee part of Scotland.

Last time I was at Loch Lomond Shores it was £1.75 for a can of juice and crazy golf was £8 or £8.50.

If they want to increase tourism to the area, they must have things to do at a decent price point. Better road network, better public transport are all required.

City cycle lanes

Where are all these cyclists that require separate lanes on our roads? This is NOT and never will be, Amsterdam.

What next? Is cannabis to be legalised? A lot more folk would be in favour of this Amsterdam feature than all these unnecessary lanes.

There are plenty of lanes for cyclists already in Glasgow but they appear to be empty most of the time. This fixation by the council is becoming manic.
