A WELL-KNOWN Chinese brewer will arrive in Glasgow next month as part of a UK-wide showcase tour.

Tsingtao are setting off on their City Tour help "bring the brand to life" across the country.

Launching in Scotland on the May 26, the tour will be resident in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool, with the tour coming to an end in London at the end of August.

The tour will stay in Glasgow until June 13, bringing with it the creation of Chinatown experiences, games and prizes, pop-up bars, attendance at street food markets, product sampling, activation days and stock drops.

Mark Nicholson, Tsingtao brand manager said: "The Tsingtao ‘City Tour’ aims to raise awareness of the brand and also educate consumers and the trade about its rich history.

"The planned activity will allow people to engage with the brand in a fun fashion while putting product to hand”.

A competition will be held and give entrants the opportunity to participate in the Tsingtao Dragon Boat Race, which will take place in Leeds.

Originating in Hong Kong, the canoe sport will allow customers to immerse themselves in a Chinese tradition which dates back over 2000 years.

In groups of 20, the winners of the competition will be competing in a head to head race.
