A NEW Glasgow distillery has secured a five-star rating from tourism chiefs.
The Clydeside Distillery was given the top award by Visit Scotland for “exceeding customers’ expectations on an on-going basis.”
Opened in 2017, owner Tim Morrison helped revive Glasgow’s distilling past in honour of his great-grandfather, restoring the dock that he had built in the 19th century.
The distillery offers a range of bespoke tours and tastings, allowing visitors to explore the history of the attraction before sampling some of Scotland’s finest drams.

The distillery was also highly praised for the ‘high-quality produce’ used in the making of the dishes featured on the café’s menu with much of the produce used being Scottish or locally sourced.
Jim Clarkson, VisitScotland Regional Leadership Director, said, “Congratulations to everyone at The Clydeside Distillery for this fantastic achievement.
“It is a great attraction for Glasgow and it is excellent to see their hard work and commitment to providing a quality customer experience being recognised with this prestigious award.”
